A summary of services we offer :

     Tree pruning:

Whether pruning trees for aesthetic, safety or health reasons there are correct pruning practices which can add
vigour and improve the appearance and safety of your trees. Trees are often planted in unsuitable locations
and if they are to remain will require pruning to create more room for parking, buildings etc.
Lower branches can be removed, (crown raising)  to allow more light and space around a property.
The crown may be thinned to lessen the sail effect and so reduce the stress placed on it during strong winds,
this will also allow more  light to filter  through.
By selective pruning, the crown can be reduced while maintaining the natural form of the tree, this is done by
pruning back to a suitable smaller branch and when done properly will not produce the numerous
watershoots which occur when trees are mal-pruned.
Branches which rub and cross, along with deadwood in the tree should be removed, this not only improves
the appearance but strengthens the trees immunity to infection.
We can carry out formative shaping of young trees or remedial pruning of older ones all done by qualified
        and insured personnel.

Tree removal:

It is often advisable to remove a tree rather than allow it to grow in a situation where very heavy pruning is
necessary. Older  trees which have large quantities of their living tissue
removed often become hazardous as
newer compensating branches do not have the strength of the pruned ones and subsequently fail more readily.
Mature trees which are over pruned also become much more susceptible to decay and infection. It is better to
replace such a tree with a species more suitable to its environment.

We can dismantle trees without threat to property by controlling the lowering of cut sections.

Waste removal / recycling:

All arisings from pruning or felling operations can be chipped on site and woodchip removed or left for clients
use as mulch  or as  animal bedding. Larger sections can be logged for firewood as requested.
